| PRESENTATION

The new Degree in Sports is structured to meet the highest quality standards at national and international level, namely:

      1. Two specialization options: Sports Training and/or Physical Exercise
      2. Access to MCTES-DGES SCHOLARSHIPS for all low-income students; for Internships and Employment Scholarships.
      3. Erasmus scholarships for international mobility (study and/or internship)
      4. Possibility of professional internship in different sports.
      5. Title recognized in all European countries that adhere to the Bologna process.
      6. Possibility of reconciling students' professional lives with course attendance (through the Blackboard platform that facilitates the management of learning times.)
      7. Availability of access to higher education through general access and special admission regimes (over 23 years old, transfer, re-entry and change of course).

    • 1st Cycle: 6 semesters (180 ECTS) - Degree in Sports



| GOALS

    1. Develop critical and reflective training in the area of Sports Sciences, guided by international trends in technical-scientific knowledge and mediated by the sociocultural contextualization of sports practices.
    2. Develop skills of cognitive autonomy, creativity and criticality relating to knowledge and professional performance, which are intended to be humanizing and transformative, aiming at in-depth and diversified knowledge of the various sporting practices/modalities, in their technical, tactical, physical, psychological and framework aspects formal competition, as well as promoting health, well-being and improving the quality of life of populations.
    3. Value training aimed at carrying out a professional activity, related to the stimulation and animation of physical and sporting activities, ensuring students have a component of applying the knowledge and knowledge acquired to the specific activities of the profile defined for this cycle of studies.

    • Program and conduct training in sports;
    • Exercise prescription for apparently healthy people, with sub-clinical conditions or with disabilities;
    • Promoter of Leisure Activities and Sports Entertainment;
    • Physical Exercise and Weight Control;
    • Sports Director;
    • Sports Department Technician for Local Authorities;
    • Director of Facilities;
    • Sports Events Manager.
