Tourism was born at ISCE in 1995. Due to the high demand for students and the growing need for an adequate training offer to meet the high demand for students, the Department of Tourism was created in 2010 at the institution, which provided greater solidity to tourism training and thus expand its offer. Currently, this department offers a postgraduate degree in Organization and Management of Business, Sports and Tourist Entertainment Events, a Degree in Tourism Management, a CTESP in Hotel and Accommodation Management and a CTESP in Sports and Adventure Tourism.
It is currently one of the most active and attractive Higher Education Tourism Departments in the country, annually carrying out dozens of activities such as trips abroad, study visits, scientific events, cultural events, lectures, research projects, publications, partnerships, among many others. actions with the involvement of its students.
The Department of Tourism's fundamental mission is to train technical and senior staff in Tourism, Hospitality, Events and Catering capable of coordinating, operationalizing, managing and supervising tourist operations in public and private institutions, always seeking to contribute to the training of excellent professionals. that make a difference every day in the job market.
Based on the Bologna Declaration, which ISCE has adhered to since day one, the Department of Tourism is supported by three main pillars:
- MOBILITY, through student travel and study visits, the mobilization of professionals to ISCE, the exchange of knowledge, Erasmus mobility around the world.
- EMPLOYABILITY, through quality training with many practical actions suited to the job market, a permanent employment and internship exchange with regular offers and a set of dozens of national and international partners to permanently recruit our best students.
- COMPETITIVENESS, through training that is even closer to professional reality, with excellent teachers, through learning about entrepreneurship, preparing business plans, carrying out practical internships, classes in laboratories, in hotels, in adventure camps and abroad.
