Final of the 1st Edition of the ISCE Tourism Pap Challenge powered by Merytu

Last Thursday, the final of the 1st Edition of theISCE Tourism Pap Challenge powered by Merytu took place. The event took place in the auditorium of our Institute, with 8 students participating, from 6 Schools with Professional Courses in Tourism.

 

The jury composed of Dr. Bruno Santos, Director of the Division of Educational Projects, Citizenship and Equality of the Odivelas City Council, by Dr. Elisabete Mendes, Director of Pedagogical Management and Innovation of Tourism in Portugal, by Dr. Rita Harries, Director of Expansion of Merytu, by Dr. Rute Gil, Chief Communications Officer at Lisbon Digital School, by Dr. Isabel Vale e Meneses, Administrator and Project Manager at Immerso Hotel, by Dr. Vasco Granja, Director of the Quality Department at Orbitur and also by Prof. Doctor Nuno Abranja, Director of the Department of Tourism at ISCE, had a difficult task but ended up choosing the winners in the different categories in the competition.

 

With the “Canopy Eco Village” project, the big winner of this 1st Edition was the student from Escola Profissional do Montijo, Daniela dos Reis Cruz , winner of the Best Pitch and Creativity and Innovation categories, categories sponsored by Orbitur and Randstad , respectively and thus gained more points in the total of the four categories, which allowed her to become the big winner of the “Best PAP” award. Daniela will receive a full scholarship to study the Degree in Tourism Management at our Institute, starting in September.


In the other categories in the competition, highlight goes to the victory of student Iara Melo, from Escola Secundária D. Pedro V, who with PAP "SABURA – Experimentar e valor o Bairro" won the prize sponsored by Immerso Hotel, "Sustainability and Social Responsibility" and also for student Sacelene Magalhães from Escola Secundária José Afonso, who won the "Digitalization" Award , with the “Uganda's Experience” project, a category sponsored by Lisbon Digital School , which offered a Complete Digital Marketing Course to the winner.

 

In the final of this 1st Edition of the ISCE Tourism Department's initiative, students Ana Isabel Duarte, with the "Pyramid Nature Park" project, Ana Rita Marques Vaz, with the "Brunch Colors" project, Bruno Anjos, with the project "BungaCamp & Track", Lara Culita, with the project "Urbión House" and Mariana Xavier with the project "Sabores do Mundo ", with all finalists winning a short-term digital marketing course from Lisbon Digital School and also a 50-hour course of your choice awarded by Turismo de Portugal, IP

 

The 1st year of activity of this initiative by the ISCE Department of Tourism, which in this first year received almost fifty applications from various Schools in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, will end in October with the ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge Conference , a event open to all schools of Professional Education in Tourism and which will have as speakers the winners of the 1st edition of the ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge, also including several practical workshops and various fun activities, organized with exclusively in mind students of professional education in Tourism .
