ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge Conference

The ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge Conference will take place next Thursday, October 19th. The initiative of our Institute's Department of Tourism will serve as a kick-off event for the 2nd edition of the ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge , a project launched last year by our Institute with the aim of enhancing professional education in Tourism in Portugal and encouraging entry of these students in higher education.


The event, which takes place at the facilities of ISCE – Instituto Superior de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo and which is aimed at students and teachers of professional education in Tourism, will address, through the promotion of various workshops, conferences and experimental activities, various topics of interest to students of professional Tourism courses, with the participation of several professionals, teachers and former students of the sector already confirmed.

With the confirmed presence of more than 150 students from 7 different schools, registration remains open until October 17th and entry is free but requires mandatory registration.

11:00 – 11:20 | Presentation of the Best School and Best Advisor 2022-23 Awards

11:20 am – 11:40 am | Presentation of the 2nd Edition of ITPC (23-24)

12:10 pm – 1:00 pm | Panel “Tourism: from Training to the Job Market” with Vera Pereira (PortoBay Hotels & Resorts Group), Rita Harries (Merytu), José Carlos Filipe (Profitecla Lisboa) and Joana Igreja (Quintessentially)

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm | Free lunch

2:30 pm – 2:50 pm | Workshop: Conditions for access to Higher Education for Professional Education students - Tiago Rodrigues, Director of Marketing and Communication at Pedago

2:50 pm - 3:10 pm | Workshop: How to make a quality CV and prepare for an interview - Vera Pereira, Training Director at PortoBay Hotels & Resorts Group

3:10 pm – 3:30 pm | Workshop: How to build a Successful PAP - Ana Afonso Alcântara | Director of the Professional Tourism Course at the Cidadela School Group

3:40 pm – 4:45 pm | Outdoor Activity “ISCE Escape Room”

 

 

The 1st edition of the initiative which has as institutional partners the Odivelas City Council, the Portuguese Tourism Schools and the Forúm Turismo Association and which has the support of Sonegave, Orbitur, Randstad, ISIC, Lisbon Digital School, Parque Aventura Sniper and Immerso Hotel, saw the student from Escola Profissional do Montijo, Daniela dos Reis Cruz, with the “Canopy Eco Village” project, become the big winner, a feat that earned her a full scholarship to study in the Degree in Tourism Management at our Institute .
