Granting the title of Specialist Professor Honoris Causa
Yesterday, the ceremony of granting the title of Specialist Professor Honoris Causa to Prof. Nuno Dias, guest teacher of the Futsal discipline at ISCE, which was marked by moments of great emotion and culminated in the awarding of the merit medal and diploma to Prof. Nuno Dias.
The ceremony was led by the President of AE-ISCE - Bruno Pereira and was attended by representatives of the various academic bodies, namely Prof. Doctor Luís Picado - President of ISCE, Prof. Doctor Albino Lopes - President of the ISCE Scientific Technical Council and Prof. Doctor Ricardo Martins - Administrator and Representative of the Establishing Entity. The presentation of the honoree's CV was carried out by Prof. Doctor Paulo Malico Sousa, Director of the Sports Sciences Department at ISCE, culminating in the showing of a video with some of the most memorable moments in Professor Nuno Dias' career.
The award session, held in the Dr. Augusto Pais Martins Campus Auditorium, was attended by the Mayor of Odivelas – Dr. Hugo Martins and several representatives of local entities.
There were several personalities from the world of Sport who attended this academic event, including Dr. Fernando Gomes - President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Dr. Frederico Varandas - President of Sporting CP, Dr. Jorge Braz - National Coach of Futsal and the senior squad of the Sporting CP futsal team.
ISCE congratulates Specialist Professor Honoris Causa, Nuno Dias, for his work and professional CV of high national and international prominence, which has contributed greatly to the credibility of the area of Sports Sciences and to the training of future professionals.
