ISCE celebrates 38th anniversary looking to the future
It was in an emotional environment that the academic community participated on November 9th in the commemorative ceremonies of our Institute, which this year celebrates 38 years.
Students, teaching and non-teaching staff, institutional partners and other figures linked to ISCE, were present at a ceremony that took place in the ISCE auditorium and was attended by Mrs. Councilor of CM Odivelas, Dr. Susana Santos, representing the Mr. President of the Chamber of Odivelas, Dr. Hugo Martins.
The ceremonies began with a musical moment provided by “USO4Tuna” from the Senior University of Odivelas, which was followed by the Solemn Opening Session of the Academic Year which featured speeches by the President of ISCE, Prof. Doctor Luís Picado;
the Councilor of CM Odivelas, Dr. Susana Santos; the recently elected President of AE ISCE, Andreia Morgado and the Administrator and Representative of the Instituting Entity, Prof. Doctor Ricardo Martins.
ISCE's management bodies stated their commitment to contributing to ensuring that the academic year is marked by training quality at a technical, scientific and human level, promoting a relationship of openness and proximity with the entire educational community.
Also noteworthy are the new accreditation processes for the degree in Human Resources Management and the master's degrees in Exercise, Sport and Well-being; Marketing and Innovation in Tourism; Education, in the specialties of School Administration and Management, Socio-Community Development and Supervision and Training of Trainers.
From the perspective of internationalization, the opening of the ISCE office in Brazil was also announced and the training strategy for this country was presented, based on distance learning, a type of teaching where ISCE has been gaining more and more notoriety since 2009, when in which it became a pioneer in Portugal in b-learning teaching.
In the Commemorative Session, Prof. Doctor Otto F. von Feigenblatt, Full Professor and President of the International Academy of Social Sciences, who was responsible for delivering the wisdom lesson (available here) under the theme “Educational Leadership” and which was carried out in video format.
One of the most emotional moments for the students was the symbolic imposition of badges on 2nd and 3rd year students.
The ceremonies ended with a beautiful performance by TUNISCE, followed by a Magusto organized by the Student Association that brought together the entire academic community in a moment of celebration.
