| WHY TOURISM?
Tourist activity is continually growing, being a focal point for supporting the national economic and social development model. Our degree in Tourism Management follows the trend and encompasses theoretical, technical and operational knowledge, in a structured way to meet the highest quality standards in the areas of Management, Tourism, Hospitality and Restaurants.
| WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE?
In this course you will acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of tourism, hotels, restaurants, animation, events, communication, technologies, management, languages, culture and heritage.
| WHAT ARE THE COURSE OBJECTIVES?
- Train technicians capable of working with professionalism in improving the tourist structure, in order to understand the sociocultural differences present in the work environment, cultivating education for citizenship and development, guaranteeing professional insertion and geographic mobility.
- Train mid-senior managers capable of coordinating, designing, operationalizing and managing tourist and hotel activities/operations, with supervisory and application functions and the transmission of expert knowledge.
- Provide new and different knowledge, especially when it comes to adapting to new methodologies, technologies, languages, communication skills, team integration and adaptation to change.
- Develop a sense of responsibility in relation to materials and equipment and quality, innovation, entrepreneurship, research and leadership in the service provided.
- Strengthen a general culture and generic knowledge of the social, economic and cultural environment of the world of work.

When you enroll in one of the courses in this Department you will automatically be included in an internship and employment grant that will help you forever. This scholarship is supported by the many partnerships we have with tourism organizations that guarantee employment and/or internships for all our students and graduates.
- Daytime or after-work hours. It offers the possibility of reconciling professional life with attending the course.
- Practical teaching. Travel abroad, study visits, conferences with guests, organization of events, work as a host, kitchen laboratories, restaurants and hotels, tourist entertainment activities, simulations, participation in seminars, interviews, debates, etc.
- Availability of access to higher education through general access and special admission regimes (over 23 years old, transfer, re-entry and change of course).
- Bologna Process. Title recognized in all European countries that adhere to the Bologna process.

| PARTNERSHIPS
The partnerships registered here aim to implement and promote cooperation actions that develop, in generic terms, areas of training for all users of the aforementioned school, particularly in the areas of tourism, hotels and restaurants, with a view to constantly updating knowledge and renewing skills already acquired, or acquiring new ones, from a lifelong learning perspective, in order to contribute to increasing the quality standards of the national tourist offer:
The established partnerships cover a varied set of actions, and in areas that serve the objectives of the parties involved, and can take forms such as:
- exchange of experiences, knowledge and studies in the field of professional, undergraduate and postgraduate training;
- carrying out human resources development programs for the labor market planned, coordinated and executed jointly between ISCE and a partner institution;
- development of human resources at both institutions, at the training level;
- systematized dissemination of information and promotion of dissemination and documentation exchange actions , resulting from the activities of each of the institutions;
- exchange of technicians and specialists from both institutions;
pedagogical and professional internships (work contexts);
- courses and seminars;
- technical consultancies;
- educational visits to both partners;
- joint research and carrying out studies and projects of common interest;
- any other modality that may arise during development between both Institutions.
Therefore, with a view to implementing the aforementioned actions and aiming at integration into the job market, ISCE, through its Department of Tourism, signed agreements with companies and institutions that best suit the specificity of the training area, as well as the characteristics of the job market.

- Classes normally run 3 days a week. Traditionally, Friday is a free day!
